Attorney Saprina Taylor is a nationally respected disability law attorney, educator, and advocate with over 25 years of experience in the field of disability law. An entrepreneur at heart, she founded The Law Office of Saprina Brown Taylor in 2006, where she has dedicated her career to advancing effective disability advocacy and empowering professionals who serve individuals with disabilities.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Saprina took the opportunity to reflect and innovate, leading to the creation of The Disability Teacher, an educational platform focused on providing accessible, practical, and high-impact training for disability advocates. Through this platform, she developed the comprehensive course Becoming a Disability Advocate, equipping students and professionals with the skills and knowledge needed to confidently navigate the disability claims process.
Saprina is a sought-after speaker and educator known for her ability to break down complex legal concepts into clear, actionable guidance. She has presented extensively on EDPNA (Eligible for Direct Pay Non-Attorney) representation, educating advocates on ethical, effective, and compliant participation in the Social Security disability process. Her presentations have included the North Carolina Bar Association Annual Conference, multiple paralegal association panels, continuing legal education and university lectures. She continues to lead national conversations on elevating non-attorney advocacy within the disability community.
A proud “Double Eagle,” Saprina earned both her Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctor degrees from North Carolina Central University. She is a member of the North Carolina State Bar, ACRD, NADR, the North Carolina Black Lawyers Association, and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
