James Schiff is a supervising attorney at Marvin & Associates, P.C., a law firm specializing in Federal court appeals of disability denials. Mr. Schiff received his Juris Doctor from Loyola University School of Law in 2009. At Marvin & Associates, where he has worked since 2010, he reviews referrals from other law firms and decides which cases to appeal to Federal court and the Appeals Council, and reviews and edits the briefs of other attorneys. He has argued and won several cases before the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, including Bjornson v. Astrue, 671 F.3d 640 (7th Cir. 2012); Allensworth v. Colvin, 814 F.3d 831 (7th Cir. 2016); and Ghiselli v. Colvin, 837 F.3d 771 (7th Cir. 2016). He has spoken at NOSSCR and the Chicago Bar Association on continuing disability reviews and overpayment cases.
